Our Story
Tan & Aaron met in Thailand in 2000 while Aaron was teaching scuba diving on Phuket island.
Tan began her cooking career at a small Thai take-out in Melbourne, Australia.
Tan & Aaron started their family in Tan's home province of Nahkhon Si Thammarat. This is where the restaurant name "Nakhon Thai" stems from.
The family moved from Thailand to Canada, settling in Ottawa.
The first Nakhon Thai restaurant was opened in Ottawa's Little Italy (now closed).
The second Nakhon Thai restaurant was opened in Kemptville, Ontario.
The family moved to Brockville, Ontario. After completing extensive renovations, they opened Nakhon Thai Brockville.
The opportunity to open a 3rd restaurant in the town of Morrisburg. Since Aaron is originally from Iroquois, they are very proud to bring this property back to life with a major renovation.
