Situated at 28 King St W in the Market District of Downtown Brockville, this beloved restaurant has become a cornerstone of the community, offering a unique blend of traditional and adapted Thai dishes. Tan’s journey to Brockville began in Thailand, where she grew up in a large family. In 2006, amidst the turmoil of a military coup and with a young daughter to consider, Tan and her husband Aaron made the courageous decision to move to Aaron’s hometown of Iroquois in search of a better life.
Tan honed her culinary skills in various kitchens, always dreaming of one day owning her own restaurant. That dream became a reality just three years after their move when Tan and Aaron opened Nakhon Thai, a family-owned and operated establishment. While the restaurant has evolved to accommodate local ingredients and customer preferences, it has remained true to its authentic roots, thanks to the dedication and passion of its owner and chef, Tan!
